Bee Amour jewelry lands at Velvet Antler and oh how sweet it is!

Bee Amour is a unique jewelry line created by jewelry designer and backyard beekeeper Anna Gieselman. Anna personally makes each piece using high quality materials and techniques in her studio in east Austin. Anna has a deep respect and love for her bees and draws on them for inspiration for Bee Amour.

Anna says 'Out of my love for bees and my experience as a jewelry designer came the Bee Amour line.  Its directly inspired by these amazing creatures and that is why 5% of Bee Amour profits go to organizations that promote bee education, research and sustainability. Support the bees and love your honey at the same time!'

B. Matus Spring Trunk Show Event!

A Special thanks to Becca Yannone for making the trip to Marfa to present her Spring collection. Becca Yannone designer of B. Matus clothing presented a new selection of garments in a trunk show at Velvet Antler in Marfa on Feb 28th. The former Marfa resident returned to share new hand dyed silk, modal and cotton items ideal for the spring season. B. Matus is an independent clothing line now based in Austin Texas. Each of the garments is designed, sewn and hand dyed by Becca in her home studio. With styleand color names like tumbleweed, cosmic dancer, ocotillo and steed you can see that the west Texas environment is a major influence on Becca's design perspective. 

Yannone was born in a small Texas town and is no stranger to nature and wide, open spaces. Her youth was spent camping and listening to live music, which comes across loud and clear in her designs. After spending several years in L.A. studying Parisian pattern design she returned to her Texas roots. With a strong technical background, her garments are well fitting and comfortable. Inspired color palettes weave stories into tie-dyed fabrics making them one of a kind. A trained eye for detail and natural fabrics of the finest quality bring the wearer to a new level of affordable couture.

 Velvet Antler celebrates talent in Marfa
